Welcome

To my home in the Pyrenees Mountains, and thank you for your visit.
I am Jörundr Haustmyrkr.

My forefathers were among the Great Heathen Army of Danish raiders who were first to settle in the Danelaw in northern England, mixed with the local peoples, and eventually begat me. I traveled here to be closer to what is amounting to be the greatest realm of arts and culture in the world: The Italian Peninsula. However, my home is in the forests, the mountains, and the natural ways of things.

I am not one for civilized manners, but if you would rest here on your journey, I will hunt and kill our meal for tonight, split wood for our fire, and brew hot cider while we share tales about our lives.

Perhaps you have heard that I trifle a bit with the arts, and when I come down from the mountains to meet friends at gatherings, fight in tournaments, and catch up on gossip, I may have paintings on hand. I may also bring my supplies and strike a painting at the site. Thus I am known as Barbarian Painter. Such terms cease to annoy me anymore.

If you desire a painting, perhaps a portrait to display prominently, or a landscape of your home (or the home of your enemy), or a still life of items that bring you contentment, or something else that strikes your fancy, I have standard rates that fit within certain sizes. All paintings are on stretched canvas, wired for hanging. Framing is optional, and may add to the cost. Timing is worked out with each patron, and if you need the painting by a certain date, make sure to let me know. I paint fairly quickly, about 3 days to a week to complete a piece, but many things could factor into delays. So best to make sure we both understand when you need the piece, so I can get it done on time (and dry!).

I deal through a merchant friend who goes by the name PayPal; I've never met the person, but money transactions are quick and painless, so I have no reason worry.
